Collection: Imagination Reality

Hi, I’m Robert.  I am a kid with a passion for art.  I started my art experience by creating small sculptures and figures using play doh and then expanded to using clay.  I do love playing video games, especially on the iPad.  A lot of my art is fan art of characters in the games and from books I read.  Sometimes I mix them together to make my own character.

I have autism and art is a way I can communicate and express my feelings, thoughts and dreams.  I have amazing parents who have supported my love of art by making sure my art supplies are fully stocked.  In the fall of 2019, I joined an awesome group for kids called Express Yourself (EXYO).  Each week I got to go into their art studio and do different art projects.  I got to work in a small group with the inspiring artist Wes Sam-Bruce and with his guidance I expanded my love of creating unique art pieces. 

The COVID-19 pandemic shut my school down so I had lots of time to do art.  I developed an instant passion for sharpies and canvas.  I was making several canvas art pieces a day, so many that every store we went to that was still open was sold out.  So, my mom surprised me with a full case of blank canvases and a large pack of sharpies.

My art doesn’t stop with clay and canvas, I have expanded to custom plushies (stuffed animals).  Some custom plushies are fan art and some are creations from my imagination. See more on my youtube channel.
