War Destroys our planet

World War III could spell the end for the human race as we know it. The destruction of our planet would be one of the many terrifying outcomes of such a conflict. The devastating effects of nuclear warfare would be most felt by our environment. Aside from the immediate effects of a nuclear detonation, a long-term nuclear winter could ensue. A nuclear winter is a hypothetical global climate crisis that could be caused by a large-scale nuclear war. It is thought that the large amounts of dust and ash released into the atmosphere by nuclear explosions would cause a significant reduction in global temperatures. This would lead to crop failures and mass famine as a result. In addition to the devastating effects on the environment, a nuclear war would also have human costs. It is estimated that, in a nuclear exchange between the US and Russia, over 2 billion people would die. This would be as a result of the direct effects of the nuclear explosions, the radiation fallout and the long-term global climate change. So, not only would a nuclear war be devastating for the environment, it would also be catastrophic for human life. The prospect of a nuclear winter should be reason enough to avoid War Destroys our planet.
