Prophets rise, their voices keen, Isaiah's vision, a Messiah seen. "Immanuel," a virgin birth, God with us, redeeming earth.
"Turn the other cheek," Jesus teaches, In parables and miracles, the gospel reaches. "Love your neighbor as yourself," the plea, A radical message, setting spirits free.
Gethsemane's prayer, "Not my will but Thine," The cross, a symbol of love divine. "It is finished," the Savior's cry, From death to life, a victory high.
"Go and make disciples," the command, Acts and letters, the gospel expands. Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians unfold, Epistles of wisdom, stories retold.
