Research on Pope Of Love

We just learned years after we started drawing the comic.

Pope of Love is a self-proclaimed title given to the Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson. Peterson is a black American conservative talk-radio host, author, and political activist. He is the founder and president of the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND), a nonprofit organization that promotes self-reliance within the black community.

In 1992, Peterson founded BOND, a nonprofit organization that promotes self-reliance within the black community. Peterson has also written several books, including The Antidote: Healing America from the Poison of Hate, Rage, and Violence (2002), SCUM: How to Kill the White Man and Other Black Survival Secrets (2006), Peterson's Rules: 12 Principles for Black Economic Empowerment (2013), and The TRUTH: How to Fix Our Problems and How to Survive the New America (2017).

He is a political activist and has been critical of what he describes as the "victim mentality" of many African Americans, as well as of welfare programs. He has also been critical of what he describes as the "widespread epidemic of fatherlessness" in the black community, and of what he sees as the destructive cultural influences of rap music and hip hop culture.
