R.I.P. iPod

R.I.P. iPod

Apple Inc.’s iPod, a portable digital audio player, was released on October 23, 2001 by the Apple Corporation. The iPod was the first mainstream portable digital audio player and it changed the way people listen to music.

The iPod was not the first digital audio player on the market, but it was the first to be successful. The iPod’s predecessor, the MPMan, was released in 1998, but it was not successful. The iPod was successful because it was easy to use and it had a built-in storage capacity of 5 GB, which was enough to store up to 1,000 songs.
